I’ve never been a big soda person. There are a few situations where I will have a coke – when I’m on call and can’t get coffee in the middle of the night, when I’m at a movie with popcorn or on a road trip with pretzels. I’ve always found soda to be too sweet (hence the need for salty popcorn or pretzels to counteract it). Then I discovered homemade sodas.
This, my friends, is a whole new ball game. Pomegranate juice is typically pretty concentrated and a bit bitter. The addition of club soda raises it two a whole new level and the lime adds an extra special citrus kick. It’s healthy, it’s delicious and it’s way better than anything you could buy in the store.
Lime Pomegranate Soda

Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients
Fresh lime juice
Pomegranate juice
Club Soda
Ice
Directions
Fill a glass with ice. Squeeze juice of 1 lime into glass (use more or less depending on your taste). Fill glass half full with pomegranate juice. Fill to the top with club soda. Stir together. Enjoy.
Alternatively, you could make a whole pitcher, mixing the lime and pomegranate together then adding club soda & ice at the last minute before serving. Just be sure to keep the pomegranate juice refigerated until serving.

I cannot wait to taste this. I would love to have this refreshing drink right now!
Come on over
I’m enjoying a glass myself right now!
While it is delicious on its own, I’ve actually done this with Gin instead of club soda for years! It’s one of my favorite drinks.
Sounds great – I will need to try it!
